NHS should do more to assist men and women stay healthy, says new boss


The new boss of the NHS has visited a town hospital in the north of England on his very first day in the occupation.




Simon Stevens, 47, invested time meeting employees and individuals at Shotley Bridge Hospital in County Durham.




The former president of a US private healthcare company started his career at the hospital as a trainee manager 25 many years in the past.




Speaking at the hospital, he explained: “I am investing my 1st day back in the task meeting individuals, nurses and medical professionals here in which I first commenced in the NHS.




“It really is clear from speaking to sufferers that the top quality of care is fantastic. But I believe there’s also a reaisationl that we need to help folks greater to assist men and women keep wholesome.”
