Peanut allergy clinics to open in Britain

Peanut allergy, which affects one particular in 50 young children, can lead to anaphylactic shock – a potentially fatal immune response. It is the most typical trigger of deaths due to foods allergies.

The Stop II trial, the largest of its sort throughout the world, involved 99 young people aged seven to 16 consuming meticulously measured doses of peanut protein.

By the finish of the research, among 84 per cent and 91 per cent of the participants could securely tolerate 800 milligrams of peanut protein a day, the sum identified in five peanuts.
