Alzheimer"s Society champions Dementia Pleasant Communities

Sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group and supported by the Telegraph – the panel of judges included Telegraph editor Chris Evans, and Jeremy Hughes, chief executive of the Alzheimer’s Society – the awards recognise communities, organisations and folks who have aided to make their neighbourhood or workplace more dementia-pleasant.

The Sporting Memories Network, which supports local community-primarily based projects that tap into people’s passion for sport, was also singled out for an award.

A full list of winners will be offered from 21 Could at alzheimers.org.uk/dementiafriendlyawards
