I may also note that cloves are a powerful antifungal. But use clove oil in moderation because it can be toxic if overused.

Sage contains two molecules, carnosol and carnosic, which contribute to its anti-inflammatory effects and its taste and aroma. Research shows that sage can improve the memory and mental performance in your adults. Some sources say that sage improves mental performance of Alzheimer’s patients but I couldn’t find any studies to back these claims.


3.Turmeric


This is one of the best spices you should eat every day. Not only does turmeric have anti-inflammatory effects but research shows that it has the potential to reduce risk of cancer, allergies, arthritis, and so on. You can add turmeric food or beverages, or take it in capsule form.


4.Cinnamon


Studies show that cinnamon helps improve insulin sensitivity and lower blood sugar. And it’s also rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties which prevent chronic diseases.


Cinnamon is also known to prevent abnormal growth in cells, which means it’ll reduce risk of cancer.


5.Oregano


Oregano is a great herb which you can use for cooking or therapeutically. It has a powerful antioxidant called rosmarinic acid which fights inflammation and improve immune system health.


6.Ginger


Ginger is known to fight inflammation, kill pain, and improve digestion. A study conducted by the University of Miami found that concentrated ginger helps reduce pain in patients with osteoarthritis.


Make sure you store it in a dry place. Ginger easily molds if stored in heat, light or moist place.


7.Thyme


Other than having anti-inflammatory properties thyme treats acne. If you have any skin problems or inflammation you can try adding thyme to your food each day. You can even add it to smoothies and teas.
