Have badgers often posed a TB threat? Photograph: Alamy
Farmers have been retaining cattle outdoors for centuries, and badgers have been all around all that time – so why is TB seemingly a new dilemma? I don’t bear in mind hearing about it many years in the past. What took place in the 19th century? Was there any remedy? Or am I missing anything?
